Welcome to the beginnings
Please read this section carefully, as this is where I will share most of the things to do post-server, as well as some basic ideas that are not a specification of a single topic, but can be useful in the whole game.
After you’ve read Beginnings, we’ll cover each feature in more detail afterwards.
Before we get into the analysis of the game itself, let’s clarify some basic ideas.
Free to Play
My guide is primarily for hardcore F2P players, as that’s the style of game I play.
Even if you’re an F2P player, there’s one thing you can’t avoid buying, and that’s ad-free.
As you progress in the game, you have to watch more and more ads to get the daily stuff, which burns a lot of time, at least 30 minutes a day.
It’s simply not worth watching videos, I’ll explain why below.
Simple math. You watch 30 minutes of commercials a day and play for a year:
30×365=10950/60/24=7,6
In a year, you have to watch 7.6 days of advertising.
7,6×24=182 hours
10$/182=0,05$/h
I think it’s better for anyone to go to work to earn that 10$ than to “work” for 0.05$/hr watching videos.
Most games you have to buy to play, look at this 10$ as a one-off cost, it’s forever, but if you really want to play hardcore, it’s essential because in that 30 minutes a day, you can do a lot of useful things.
The time spent
If you want to get the same kind of results and excel on your server, you’re going to have to pay for something, and that’s your time. While paid players pay with their money, you have to compensate with your time in the early stages of the game, by which I mean the first 2-3 weeks. In those 2-3 weeks you need to play as much as you can to keep up with the whales and gain an advantage over the other players. So if you want to play hardcore, it’s definitely worth starting an F2P server at a time in your life when you can devote enough time to playing.
Let’s get started!
But how? The first step when you want to start playing is to choose a “starting date”. Here you are already faced with a decision. Which server do you want to play on ? On a server with a large and strong community, so that you can do well in community events, or do you want to concentrate entirely on your own results, so that you can achieve the best results on your own server.
Generally speaking, servers that start on weekends and during the day will have a larger community and more players on the server.
Weekday servers that start at dawn/early in the morning have fewer players, so you need to decide what your goals are. Of course, this is not 100% the case, but based on general observation, I think we can draw this conclusion.
My suggested server start is a Monday/Tuesday dawn. Not only because of the smaller population, but also because parking wars opens on the 10th day, and from there you will need to use super mining and super harvest. If you start the game on a Monday, parking will open on a Wednesday, so you’ll have 5 more days to use up the supers optimally.
Server start
This is probably the most boring and annoying part. If you’re a really hardcore player, you’ll have to camp the server launches, as they don’t have an announced date.
Check in every 10-15 minutes to see if the new server has started. Now the main reason for this is not because we’re going to be pushing you hard on the first day, but rather so that you can be the first to reach the normal 4-10 level and establish your family. Of course, if you don’t, you can still start a family, but it’s easier if you start it first, so that hardcore players like you will join your family immediately, and you don’t have to invite them over afterwards.
As I mentioned above, you also have to choose when you want to start the server. Compared to other players, our first day will be really light, and to make sure you get to the right level to unlock the ruined ancient dungeon, make sure you start the server at dawn, or at the latest in the morning. Ruined ancient unlocks with 1-10 hard, and the goal is to make sure we get there on the first day.
Focus
In order to compete with the paid players, our goal will be one thing in early game, which is to win all the rush events, collect all the mounts from the rush shop and park them. These mounts will give us the extra resources that other players will buy for money.
Make friends
After starting the server, fill up your friends list as soon as possible. In the first days this will be important for collecting gold and upgrading your lantern. In later stages, of course, this amount of gold can be negligible, but it is important to quickly increase your intimacy with your friends, as early in the game, once you reach certain levels, you will receive rewards that can help you a lot.
The power of community
In the game, you are basically fighting and fighting for yourself, but the community has a huge power and there are often events where people can support you.
If you want to play at a really high level, it’s essential early on in the game that you create your own family and become known on your server, this will help you most with the manor, but you’ll find a detailed explanation of this in the Rush event->Prayer section. Besides, playing in a good community is always more fun than playing alone. (:
Lantern
Most players make the mistake of using their speed up tickets like crazy at the beginning of the game and immediately upgrade their lantern to the next level. This is wrong for 2 reasons.
The first is that you will need the speed up tickets on tech rushes, lots of them, so every speed up ticket spent on a lantern reduces your chances of a tech rush event.
The other is, what’s the point of hurrying with the lamp if you don’t have enough gold to upgrade to the next level afterwards anyway? You upgrade your lamp immediately, and then you wait until you have enough gold to upgrade the next level.
Instead, you should try to motivate your family mates to use the help to speed up the upgrade of your lamp on the first day. The rest of the time, wait patiently, you won’t miss anything.
+1 If your lantern is in upgrade phase, don’t spend your lamps! Simply, the higher level lantern, due to the positive changes in gear tier, will also give you more xp and more gold. While others lose by instant lantern upgrade and instant lamp spend, if you’re patient and wait for the next level you’ll reach the same, because of the more xp and gold, and you’ll just save your speed up tickets.
Partner
Choosing the right partner will be very important for several reasons. My suggestion is to come to the server in pairs if you can, and try to find a player with similar activity level as you. To develop the ring, the intimacy between the two of you needs to increase, and this will take a lot of time, so it’s a good idea to commit to someone as early as possible and focus on completing daily intimacy missions from the start of the server.
Also, your partner will be of huge importance later on in the manor, but I explain this more on the prayer rush page.
Progress quests
To the left of your lantern are the progress quests in the small window that will guide you throughout the game. One reason why I think it’s important to talk about this is because early in the game, you’ll find quests that ask you to do x pal draw and x skill draw. Well my advice is to not use skill and pal tickets for this. You have to do a total of 650-650 skill and pal draws in these missions, but you can complete them before the mount rush from free draws, so you can get to the same level in the missions as everyone else before the mount rush, but you save 650-650 tickets. These tickets can be really useful in the first skill and pal rush event. Later in the game, 650 tickets won’t be significant, but in the first rush event they will be! You can also look at them as saving you tickets in gems, because if you break it down, 35 draws cost 600 gems, so 1300/35=37×600=22,200. You’ve already saved 22,200 gems that you can spend usefully, yet still keep the same amount of progress as everyone else.
Level Rush
Ignore level rush, it’s not for f2p players. In the early stages of the server, prayer-tech rush eventing, you’ll be somewhere very behind in the leaderboards, but don’t worry about that, once you’ve done the first rush event of everything, you’ll catch up quickly.
Generally speaking, your time will come 1 month after the server starts when the relic rush will start and you will finally unlock all the relics and not just play with 1 piece, after that you will be like a skyrocket.
Gear
Don’t bother with bonuses at the beginning of the game, just focus on core stats. Atk, Hp, Def.
You will change your gear quickly, so there is no point focusing on bonuses.
Later on (a few days after starting) stun can help you a lot regardless of class. So I suggest in early game if you want to focus on bonuses it should be stun.
